Advent Communications has helped a daring duo achieve countrywide coverage for a potty pedal-powered journey.

Coventry Round Table members Andy Millar and Darren Jones have just completed a 212-mile pedalo journey from Stratford-upon-Avon, in Warwickshire, to the home of the 2012 Games – Stratford in London.

Advent was able to attract a host of local and national media attention to the pair’s 13-day journey. The company also arranged for former England footballer Dion Dublin and silver medal-winning Olympic rower Debbie Flood to wave off the two men.

Sky Sports News, ITV Central News and BBC Midlands Today all covered the event, while the story has appeared heavily in local newspapers and on regional radio shows both after the launch and during the challenge.

Darren and Andy wanted to promote opportunities surrounding the 2012 Games for Coventry and Warwickshire and raise money for Coventry Round Table-supported charities, along with sports charity SportsAid.
