Advent client CPP gets global exposure from Spyker move

The return of car manufacturing to Coventry sparked international headlines last week, with some help from Advent Communications.

The Dutch supercar maker Spyker has started production of its latest vehicle, the Aileron, at the plant of Whitley based CPP (Manufacturing) Ltd.

The two companies have worked together since Spyker’s inception in 2000, with the announcement covered by Sky News, ITV Central and BBC Midlands Today – with coverage stretching as far as the New York Times, CNBC and the Taiwan News!

Advent worked with its client CPP, Spyker, and Coventry City Council to host a press launch at the Coventry Transport Museum – and get a model of the £170,000 Aileron shipped from Holland for the event.

And the event certainly received a positive reaction from the local press, including the Birmingham Post, Telegraph and Observer, with the latter two dedicating their front pages to the news.
